Opportunities shore-up as Premier Paints, Shoreline/Costain partner
(Ogo-Oluwa Bankole, chief executive officer of the indigenous paint company told BusinessDay in Abeokuta that the strategy would involve the cooperation of the company, and its distributors.
Bankole disclosed that this move was informed by the recently cemented working partnership with construction giant, Shoreline/Costain Group.
Recently, the agreement with the construction company led to Premier Paint plc giving three brand new delivery vans to three of its distributors at its Distributors Forum. "This is just to ensure that our aim of expanding our market base does not run into a hitch. We thank God that our operations have picked up since our partnership with Shoreline/Costain; and we are making steady progress. But, it is necessary to launch ourselves into the market. We cannot do this without the support of the distributors".
The acquisition of 40 per- cent stake in the company by Shoreline/Costain Group had launch the fortunes of the company on the upward swing", remarked Ogo-Oluwa Bankole.
Bankole said that they were currently upgrading their production capacity to meet with demand.
"We are integrating our accounting system, our ICT system while we have also completed the asphalt laying of the roads in our factory," the chief executive officer, disclosed.
However, Bankole identified unstable power supply, rising operational cost, high cost of product distribution and the rising price of crude oil in the international market as some of the challenges militating against the operations of the paint company.
