This is coming six months after leading other airlines to begin scheduled domestic flights from the same airport terminal in July 2007. Managing director of Aero, Koen Neven, said ‘we have received approval from the appropriate authorities to commence regional flights from the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2.
‘Therefore passengers for our Monday, February 11 morning flight to Accra, Ghana and Monrovia, Liberia will be checked in from the terminal two of the airport, instead of from the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport’ he stated.

According to him, ‘all the agencies concerned are aware of the first regional flight from the terminal 2 and we look forward to having easy, convenient check in, departure and arrival of passengers at the terminal 2.’
Aero was the first of the then six internationally designated airlines by the federal government in 2004 to operate its license with an inaugural flight to Lome , Togo in September 2004.
It presently operates to Abidjan, Cote‘d Voire; Accra, Ghana; Bamako, Mali; Libreville, Gabon; Malabo, Equatorial Guinea; Monrovia, Liberia and Sao Tome.
