Chieftain of the APC in Benue State and managing director, Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) Jacob Mulya, has passed a vote of confidence on senator representing Benue North-west Senatorial District, George Akume, and Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.
Mulya made bare his feelings in Katsina Ala while donating a car to the APC chairman of Katsina Local Government Area, Uwua Joseph.
The managing director, who gave a history of the ruling party, said the party started as an opposition party then as AC later to ACN and now APC.
This party operated as a result of confidence we bestowed on our leader, Akume who never betrayed our confidence in him, but rather ensured victory at all times.
Making the donation, Mulya urged all members of the ruling party to remain supportive to the party chairman and the party in general. “I urge all government appointees to emulate the same so as to boost the moral of the party chairmen who stood solidly behind us to ensure the success of the party”.
Responding, the party chairman Uwua Joseph thanked leader of the party Senator Akume and Governor Samuel Ortom for finding Jacob Mulya worthy of the position as managing director of Benue Investment and Property Company.
Mr. Uwua who pledged his services to the party said, “This vehicle is not meant only for me or my officials but it is just a means for the exco to regulate the activities of the party in the local government, he added”.
The chairman also appealed to the state government to help them to renew rentage of the party secretariat, adding that equipment of the secretariat should not be left out when efforts are being made to renew the rent and thanked Governor Samuel Ortom for finding Katsina-Ala sons and daughters worthy of political positions. “As everyone would likely say, many more appointments should locate our sons and daughters,” he appealed. “I urged you all to remain calm and supportive of the incumbent government so that more appointments and developments will be brought to your door steps”.
