BREAKING NEWS: Court reject Metuh’s bid to summon Dasuki as witness

Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh haS lost his bid to summon the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki t testify as a witness in his ongoing trial at the Abuja Federal High Court.

The trial Judge, Justice Okon Abang in his ruling in an application brought before it, seeking for an order by way of subpoena, directing the Director General of Department of State Service (DSS), to produce Dasuki to give evidence said that the former NSA boss was not a compellable witness.

The court held that the application was not made in good faith

“He made list of witnesses but the name of Dasuki was not included initially, at what stage did he change his mind, in my view, the application is an artery thought”, the court held.

Similarly, the court also dismissed an application seeking for the release of his international passport for him to travel to London, for treatment on spinal cord related ailment on the grounds that, the defendant failed to appeal an order earlier granted on a similar application .
