NSL dividends, earnings forecast lifts share price
The news has so far helped the share price to a new of high of N11.63.
Managing director, Odunlami Kola-Daisi disclosed this during the company’s facts behind the forecast at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). He said the assurance stem from the inherent potentials in the company’s projected multiple streams of income.
“We are going to pay dividends forever while returns would grow by 60 percent annually”, he said.
The diversified income generating e-business of the NSL, are lottery, sub-franchise income,air time vending and e-payment among other elecrtronic-driven financial businesses.
He noted that the company’s projections showed that turnover would reach N1.30 billion per annum. Giving a prorated forecasts for 2008, it is expected that electronic payments and airtime vending will contribute the highest income of N50 billion and N48 billion, respectively monthly.
The lottery business in the Lagos area would contribute N5 billion monthly, while treasury income is expected to generate about N4 billion monthly.
However, annual turnover from airtime vending and lottery electronic payments is estimated at N564 billion and N600 billion respectively. Lottery (Lagos only) is expected to generate N60 billion annually while N48 billion is expected from Treasury income respectively annually.
Kola-Daisi noted that the projections also arose from technical agreements signed with five global financial system providers for sustained valued business. The providers are Ingenico of Paris, Valuecard, Premier Lotto, Arius Belgrade and K&G Wireless.
Details of the partnerships showed that the company has a five year exclusivity for i8550 and first right of refusal to all Ingenico terminals as well as delivery of end to end solution. It also enjoys a lifetime agreement with Valucard, the carrier of Visa cards in Nigeria.
The agreement with Arius covers the purchase agreement for software development. In the case of K&G, the company will purchase in bulk, electronic pins for airtime to be vended via the i8550.
According to the chief executive, the NSL profit after tax are estimated to hit N3.32 billion, N7.27 billion and N9.10 billion in 2008, 2009 and 2010 respectively. Proposed dividends are expected to hit N1.99 billion, N4.37 billion and N5.46 billion respectively.
