Regency Alliance pays N200m claims in Q 2

Insurance companies in the country have changed in the area of client’s relationship, meeting their post consolidation pledge of quick response to claims payment. 
Within the second quarter of 2008, Regency Alliance Insurance plc fulfilled its contract obligation paying out over N200 million in claims to various clients that suffered different degrees of loss during the nine month period. 
With the company “quick claims policy,” the insured gets its claims paid within 24 hours after receiving discharge vouchers on the loss. 
Among clients whose claims were paid includes the Bank of Industry, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Seven Up Bottling plc, UBA plc, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Wema Bank. 
Others are: West Africa Seasoning Co. Limited, Nigeria Aviation Handling Co plc, Olam Nigeria Limited, Ganiyu Ogunwale, Alex Toju Amorghoye and Femi Williams. 
Adeniyi Ojebisi, group head, corporate affairs of the company, stated that the claims were made for losses arising from motor, fire and burglary, money-in-transit, marine and workmen Compensation insurance Policies.
