Nigeriaattracts $1bn investment from Turkey

TIKO, a Turkish donor agency has invested the sum of N150 billion or $1 billion into the country through the concerted effort of Dimeji Bankole, Speaker of the House of Representatives. The investment by TIKO followed the working visit of the Speaker to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the president of that country. Ebomhiana Musa, special adviser (Media) to the Speaker disclosed this while reacting to a media report which alleged that the Speaker spent the sum of N52 billion on foreign and local trips in two years. Musa explained that the issue discussed during the media interaction between the Speaker and House of Representatives Correspondents was on budgetary allocation for local and foreign travels for the 360 members and management of the National Assembly in the last two years.
