Tax-transfer pricing, recapitalised insurance industry, others top issues at
CITN Lagos MPTP

Other issues to be looked into include ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) and
Companies Income Tax Act (CITA) amendments, amongst other relevant papers to be
delivered by renowned tax experts drawn from public and private sectors.
This MPTP is part of  CITN’s efforts to update its members’ technical and
operational knowledge on emerging taxation issues from a broad global
perspective.
According to the Institute’s heads corporate affairs, Tola Akinmutimi, “The
capacity-building training will expose participants to key operational and legal
issues in international taxation, especially the subject of transfer pricing,
the taxation components in insurance business arising from the new
recapitalisation and re-formulated policy regime and operational challenges of
the proposed ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) as a fiscal tool for regional
economic integration.”
Also, the Institute’s registrar/chief executive, Femi Fajolu, disclosed that
this tax issues-based training is designed to enrich participants’ knowledge
of global developments on the various subjects.
