In another development, the minister of education, Igwe Aja-Nwachuku, yesterday launched the electronic resources for the virtual library of NUC.
He commended the commission for sustaining the project over the years as part of its responsibility to the Nigerian university system.
The minister, who was represented at the occasion by Okojie, stated that the project was established in 2001 as one of the several strategies devised by the Federal Ministry of Education to bolster the quality of teaching and learning in Nigerian schools.
According to him, the project was a major intervention aimed at providing access to a huge collection of latest journals.
