Olam’s FreshYo gains market traction

FreshYo, a yoghurt drink produced by Olam International, is gaining market traction.

Recently, Emmanuella, a comedy child superstar, endorsed FresYo as Nigeria’s favourite drink.

Emmanuella has been officially signed as the brand ambassador for FreshYo. Her videos for FreshYo done in collaboration with Mark Angel Comedy International, titled ‘Missing Emmanuella’, ‘Lunatic’ and ‘Professor’ have already become popular amongst Nigerians, garnering over 30 million views on YouTube and Facebook.

Sidhartha Samal, category head (beverages, noodles & culinary) at Olam International’s joint venture with Sanyo Foods, said: “Emmanuella brings to the table confidence and boundless energy which makes her a perfect fit for what FreshYo represents. FreshYo is a relatively young brand and so is Emmanuella. Hence it is going to be a partnership that is strategic and long term. FreshYo drinking yoghurt has been relaunched in Nigeria since August 2017 and the response from consumers has been overwhelming, says the company. With its innovative packaging and outstanding taste, FreshYo has become a favourite amongst both kids and adults. It is manufactured in the company’s new facility at Lagos, which is the first factory in Africa to use Aseptic Technology for the production of dairy beverages.
