Apapa is Nigeria’s largest port. Its location gives manufacturers unfettered access to markets in Nigeria and the West African sub region. Imported goods are hauled within Lagos and to other industrial hubs mostly by land. Petroleum products are hauled through self-collection, local supply, south west local and bridging. Haulage players prefer Mack, MAN Diesel, Iveco and Sinotrucks over other brands of heavy duty vehicles. Apapa gridlock may not end anytime soon if spaces are not provided for trucks.
