Amoo assumes duty as Jaiz Bank ED

Abdul Fattah Amoo assumes duty as Jaiz Bank’s Executive Director (ED) in charge of Operations and Information Technology. He is to also double as Chief Finance Officer (CFO).

His appointment by the Board of Directors has been confirmed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Amoo brings on board vast knowledge in both conventional and Islamic banking acquired about three decades of which 15 years was in Senior Management positions. Before this appointment, Amoo was a Deputy General Manager in Sterling Bank Plc in charge of Retail Distribution and Sales.

During the course of his career, Amoo had managed the Financial Control, Operations, e-Business, Retail Banking functions as well as Non-interest banking business of Sterling Bank Plc., thus equipping him with the unique expertise required to both front and back end of the business.

“He is skilled in strategic planning and implementation among others, and we are confident that he possesses the required professional and leadership competencies for his new job role,” the Management of the Bank said.

Amoo is a member of many professional bodies which includes Retail Banking Academy of UK; Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation CITN.
