Finlab promises to enhance scientific, tech advancement in Nigeria

Determined to enhance scientific and technological advancement in Nigeria, a foremost manufacturer of laboratory equipment and audio-visual materials, Finlab Nigeria Limited has assured Nigerians of its commitment to maintain standard and quality of its products in the market.
According to a statement, the company is already perfecting plans to increase its production to full capacity to accommodate the growing demand. The marketing director, Uzo Nwaije stated this in the statement.
He said ” It is on record that we have been in business for more than three decades and we think it is right to expand in view of the growing demands for our products in both educational and health institutions across the country. We have the financial ability to spread its tentacle through citing of plants in different parts of the country. I believe if we invest heavily in this direction, more jobs will be generated for the economy”.
While calling on the Federal Government for support, he said the provision of key infrastructure was necessary to achieve the goal. ”We need the Federal Government to identify with this expansion programme by improving infrastructure to consolidate our effort particularly in the transportation of that equipment” he said.
While stressing that the company had taken a step ahead by choosing to rely heavily on local materials, he said others should emulate such gesture by looking inward to ease the pain associated with unavailability of foreign exchange.
Nwaije further disclosed that the company is currently considering extending similar measure to other businesses in the group to cater for the shortfall in the availability of foreign exchange.
“The scarcity of forex in the last two years has necessitated the need for the business to look inward. We are trying our best to intensify effort to increase capacity in other area of the business”.
While commending the government commitment to promoting local industries, he urged them to provide other necessary incentives that would help create ready market for the business.
While expressing delight over the milestones achieved by the company in the last 36years, the Managing Director said there has been tremendous progress for the business and this has been based on the ability to provide equipment and services tailored to the customer’s needs.
Finlab Nigeria’s Limited commenced business operations in 1981 and currently has four branch networks across the country. The branch networks are located in strategic cities that include Lagos, Owerri, Abuja and Kano.
