Unilever’s pears celebrate baby product in lagos

Unilever Nigeria has announced the rebranding of Pears baby range of products to bring more value to mothers and babies in the country.

The rebranding of Pears baby range is aimed at sharing the unique benefits of Pears baby range of baby care products pure, mild and gentle on babie’s skin and, celebrating Pears heritage as a caring and trusted baby care brand bringing quality products to Nigerian households
Speaking at the event held at Amuwo-Odofin Maternal and Child Centre, Festac, Lagos, Adetoun Adegbite, manager category of Skin Care division of Unilever Nigeria, said: “Pears baby range made from carefully selected ingredients suitable for babys tender skin has gone through series of evolutions since 1971 when it was first introduced into the Nigerian market.”
Adetoun added that Pears has served Nigerian babies for more than 40 years and mothers with baby care products ranging from Pears Baby Lotion, Pears Baby Oil, Pears Baby Powder to Pears Baby Jelly and Pears Moisturizing Cream made from carefully selected pure ingredients.
Olurotimi Awojide, chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Lagos Chapter, commended Unilever Nigeria for the rebranding drive.
He said: “the relaunch of Pears baby care products is a major step in the right direction. This is a further demonstration by the brand to continue to provide our mothers and babies with quality products that take care of their skin and keep them healthy and smooth always. We congratulate Unilever and offer our support to this drive as the brand has displayed a commitment to the wellbeing of Nigerian mothers and babies.”
Yaw Nsarkoh, chief executive officer of Unilever Nigeria, stated that Pears baby range will keep up the momentum of serving Nigerian households with the right kind of baby care products.
As a forward-looking brand, we will not renege in providing the right kind of baby care products to Nigerian mothers and babies. We will keep up the pace of our innovation to contentiously produce baby care products rich in natural ingredients to suit babys tender skin and make the mother and baby happy and healthy. He said.
The rebrand had in attendance, expectant and nursing mothers as Unilever Nigeria donated cases of Pears baby range to the Amuwo-Odofin Maternal and Child Centre, Lagos.
