GE Africa President, Jay Ireland, says that GE in Africa has the global capabilities to tackle the issues of infrastructure, power supply, health care, aviation, transportation, and communication on the continent.

Speaking at the BusinessDay’s CEO Forum on Thursday, he explains that Africa holds a wealth of opportunities.

“I believe GE has the global capabilities to look at these issues, but also have a local perspective, work with local institutions and develop solutions that provide real local impact,” he says. “We can tap into cross-regional collaboration and adapt tested technologies and practices for Africa.

“GE is optimistic that one day, they will develop global products that are inspired Africa’s needs and thinking. GE is committed to providing real customer value in Africa and making a positive sustainable difference together.”
