Ekiti shoot-out: Police must apologise to Nigerians – Reps tell Buhari

Worried by the shoot-out by the Nigerian Police which took place during a rally in Ekiti state, members of the House of Representatives on Thursday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to mandate NigeriaPolice authorities to render apology to Nigerians.

The House resolution came on the heel of sporadic gun shots which took place in Ado-Ekiti, during the All Progressive Congress (APC) campaign ahead of the gubernatorial election slated for Saturday, 14th July, 2018.

To this end, the House mandated all its relevant security related Standing committees to probe the crisis and report back within twoweeks.

The resolution was passed following the adoption of a motion on urgent public importance, sponsored by Tajudeen Yusuf (PDP-Kogi) who called for the intervention of the House.
