The national secretariat Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP), has charged the union officials in Taraba state to take the welfare of members as their priority.
The national secretary of the union Comr. Bunmi Ogunkolade gave the charge Friday while presenting appointment letters to the caretaker members of the union in Jalingo, Taraba state capital
Ogunkolade explained that there was every need for the members of the union to leave in harmony for the common interest of all.
He said, “As l present letters of appointment to you today on behalf of the national body, I charge you to look into the welfare of members carry everybody along for a smooth working relationship”
Responding on behalf of the caretaker Committee the chairman Comr. Kefas Katan, promised to take the union to the next level.
“I am happy today that I have been find worthy to act in the capacity of the chairman of this great union, following the tenure expiration of the former officials. my pledge is that I will not disappoint you. We will all join hands together to uplift the union here in Taraba” .
Other members of the union that were issued appointment letters to act for three months include: Zaineb Idi Vice president, Dantani Joseph PRO, Adamu Aliyu Auditor, Bako Abbah Trustee 2, Kabiru Zakari Trustee 1 and Janet Jalle treasurer.
