Fatai Oyedele known in political circle as Diekola and five others were on Tuesday arraigned before Magistrate Adegunre Ayeni of an Osogbo Magistrate Court on charges bothering on alleged illegal possession of firearms.
The accused were arraigned for two separate matters before the same magistrate and were granted bail on one of the matters and remanded for the other.
A little drama however ensued when the presiding magistrate remanded the suspects without mentioning a specific prison facility where they were to be kept.
Others arraigned alongside Diekola are; Tomori Afolabi, Dada Lawrence Ayobami Oyeniyi and Onikola Babatunde.
The suspect were arraigned on a three count charge but had their oral bail application from the defence counsel rejected by the court.
Appearing for Diekola, Barrister Jayeola Badmus, said the charge presumed against his client is bailable, citing section 36 of the Constitution.
He also cited ill health of Oyedele and the need for him to seek regular consultation with his doctor daily as part of the reasons he should not be kept in prison.
The presiding Magistrate, however denied oral bail application of the suspects and sought formal application and adjourned the case till July 18, 2017, but did not mention where they would be kept.
