The 4-day 36th Annual Convention Bonanza 2017 of the Bible Life Church, tagged, ‘Greater Glory Manifestation’, which began on Saturday, December 23, was rounded off on Tuesday, December 26.

Each night saw power-packed ministrations by Bishop Leonard Umunna, general overseer of the church, worldwide.

The first day featured ‘Alabasta praise service’; second day ‘Prophetic and breakthrough service’; day three, ‘Fire for fire/miracle service’; fourth day, ‘Healings & total solution service’ and recovery/ appreciation service’.

Declaring the convention open, Bishop Umunna had challenged the participants on the need for them to look beyond 2017 but to expect big things next year and to be at their best in order to enjoy God’s best.

“As we all know, many of us are here with great expectations, we are here to meet with Jesus and be blessed by Him. Therefore, remain focused, don’t be distracted, avoid unpleasant jokes, jesting and idle talks, be happy and committed as you tarry in his presence. Be at peace with all men during and after the convention. Where the children of God gather, there is overflow of joy, peace, mercy and abundant miracles. We urge you to be expectant and full of faith to receive as many packages as you desire in God’s presence.

“The Lord Almighty delights to promote and not relegate, to add and not subtract. Last year, you witnessed ‘glory manifestation’. This time around, you shall experience ‘greater glory manifestation’. Last year, you were flying with the Lord, in this programme and beyond, you will not only fly, but you will blissfully cruise over mountains and valleys with Jesus,” Umunna said.

“The challenge is if you can hear and obey God, and if you can touch God with your faith in this programme, then all your heart desires and expectations shall be met,” he added.

Assuring participants of God’s willingness to bless them and to make a new beginning in their lives, the cleric said: “Drop your feelings, dry your tears and embrace Jesus Christ right now. I hear Him say to you ‘welcome from the land of misery to the ministry of abundance and possibilities guaranteed. I will do a new thing’. The Lord will restore your confidence and make you a sign and a wonder for all to see. You don’t need to worry about what you have gone through to be here. Just give your ears and heart to His word. You will surely go home happily and joyfully- fully empowered to prosper all round in Jesus name.”

The annual convention, which was well attended by all members of the church in Lagos State and invitees, saw the display of talents as children and youths exhibited their skills in various areas- singing, recitation, dramas, comedy, recounting of the year’s activities and special performance. There were messages, altar calls, among others.

A good number of participants testified to divine interventions in their lives, families and the best things God did for them in the current year.

A woman testified to how her daughter was cured of a strange illness. According to her, the daughter began to experience a strange breath seizure and all efforts to arrest the situation proved abortive. But she received healing after prayer ministration.

Another woman testified to how a son-in-law of hers was saved from a ghastly auto accident in Lokoja on his way to Abuja. Although the vehicle in which he was travelling was torn into two by a trailer, resulting in the death of most occupants, the son-in-law miraculously survived.

Some testified to how they were healed of diverse sicknesses that had been marked “beyond medical science” and which also “surprised doctors”. There were testimonies on divine provision; provision of accommodation, jobs and general breakthrough despite the economic recession.

For the first time in 36years, this year’s convention was unique. The last day’s events dovetailed into an all-night prayer. As soon as the convention message ended at about 10pm on the last day, the all-night programme began.
