Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, Seed time and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.”

This is a universal principle set into motion by God and it is unchangeable. Principles like these that hold for the planet equally applies to the inhabitant of the planet. The World we live in did not come into being by accident or chance, rather by the spoken word of God (Gen. 1:3). This implies that what governs this world governs man. God went as far as recommending the appropriate diet to sustain man.” Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God (Matt: 4:4)”, because what you ingest and digest determines how you turn out in life.

The total summation of the life of man is the WORD of God. In the new testament it is clearly said that man was given birth to by the word of God (1 Pet 1:23) “Being born again not of corruptible seed…”, James 1:18 corroborates that, ‘’of His own will begat He us by the word of truth…’’This has come to prove the importance of the word of God in our lives and the importance of our words in our own life. This is the fundamental truth that determines how every man turns out in life.

Absence of this knowledge makes for a life of misery and drudgery. The information that comes into us- either negative or positive, false or true- they form the basis of our thoughts. The thoughts we speak out in form of WORDS personally affect our individual world. We are all architects of what is playing out in our lives right now, whether they are negative or positive. Our ability to use this principle creatively would reconstruct our lives in the next few years.

Proverbs 13:2-3 says that “A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth but the soul of the transgressor shall eat violence; he that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life, but he that openeth wide his mouth (not having understanding of the consequence of the spoken word) shall have destruction”. We are quick to attribute the challenges of our lives to witches and wizards without ever knowing the role we play in self-destroying our lives.

There is no person on the earth that does not go through one season or the other every day in their lives, whether bad or good. The problems are not in the seasons per se, it is in what we do in that season. That is why this season you cannot afford to keep quiet; it is a season for bold declaration, giving expression to what God finished in Christ Jesus on your behalf. Your words truly count this season.

That some people seem to be having it well does not mean that God is partial and that he is favoring one above the other. Scripture says that the challenges are common (1 Pet.5:9). The only difference between you and them is that they do things to change their condition, while you watch things. So what do the winners do that you do not do?

1. They recognize that whatever challenge they are faced with are not common or special. What does that do to them? It births hope in them that the same way others overcame and have testimonies, they too will. The enemy would have you think that your situation is hopeless so that you can become helpless and be unable to put up a fight. It is a trap you must never fall into.

2. They recognize that the power to change things are in their hands not in the hand of the task master, the devil or God (LK.10:19)” Behold I give unto you power…”So their time is not spent weeping or shedding tears. This understanding has taken the steam out of what the enemy is doing against them. There is a perception of control, as they understand the role they have to play to change the situation. They are not willing to go down without a fight. When a man’s spirit is broken, there is little he can do to change anything around him, likewise when a man is enlivened, it means there is hope and this hope revitalizes.

3. They walk in the understanding that although it appears like nothing is changing on the outside as they speak, it does not mean nothing is changing inside. So they keep at it, knowing fully well that, that is all it takes. They know it is Faith + Patience = Good Result.

4. They are careful with what they say in order not to undermine what God is doing and allow the enemy to take advantage of them.

Truly this season, all that counts is your spoken word.

Remain Blessed.
