Retail insurance is the only way to grow the country’s insurance industry and this segment of the business must be given the needed attention to make the sector competitive, Pius Apere, managing director/CEO, Linkage Assurance Plc has said.
Apere, who observed that the nation’s insurance industry has existed for a long time without commensurate level of growth, said retail holds the key for market penetration and actual appreciation of insurance by the public.
Apere who spoke at the official unveiling of seven new products by Linkage Assurance Plc in Lagos Monday observed the country’s 180 million population must be reached out with appropriate products for insurance to grow.
“The brokerage market is saturated and we cannot continue to rely only on corporate accounts, so that way for the future is retail segment”.
According to him, Linkage Assurance is by this move positioning to take advantage of opportunities in the country’s insurance sector.
“We are poised to become more competitive and that is why we have developed these products to meet customers need”
These are not just products, but have been designed to meet the needs of our teaming customers and this is just the beginning of many good things to come from the stable of Linkage Assurance.
